As part of his pastoral visit to Africa, the Superior General of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Very Rev Fr. Angelo Terracciano m.ss.cc visited our community at Ulakwo. The visit was a much-anticipated event as it offered a rare opportunity for the priests and brothers to interact with the Superior General.
In his address, the Superior General expressed his heartfelt delight to visit Nigeria and especially to join in the liturgy of the Holy Week in Nigeria. He stated that this will be his first time of celebrating the Holy Week liturgy in Nigeria.
He further thanked the priests for their collaborative effort towards the growth of the Nigerian delegation. He also stated the need for missionaries to be open to learning and adapting to other people’s culture as they carry out their pastoral duty.
We welcome our amiable Superior General to Nigeria and we wish him a fruitful and wonderful stay in Nigeria.
