ABOUT US
The congregation of the missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (m.ss.cc) is a religious and clerical Institute of Apostolic Life of Pontifical Right, formed of Priests and Brothers, consecrated to God by religious profession of evangelical counsels through public vows. It was founded in the first half of 19th century by an Italian priest Saint Gaetano Errico (1791-1860) during the time that the heresy of Jansenism was dominant in the Southern Italy.
The aim of this religious Institute is to labour selflessly, even unto death, to make known to all people the most ardent Love the Sacred Hearts have for us, and to kindle in the hearts of all humanity this Holy Divine Love. This aim is achieved through all our apostolic ministry such as Parish ministry, Hospital and Prison apostolate, preaching of retreats, Youth apostolate, etc. The Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary are present in America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
